Right now the world has plenty of wicked problems worth solving.
ππ½πClimate change?.
ππ½π²Income disparity?
ππ½π Poverty?
ππ½π Healthcare?
ππ½βοΈ The Gender Gap?
ππ½π€ The ethics of AI?
ππ½π£ Terrorism?
But we need many more female innovators, inventors, entrepreneurs, design thinkers and can-doers to get cracking on the solving.π‘ @girledworld we teach high school girls how to think like entrepreneurs, use innovation and #designthinking tools and get hands on tackling real-world industry, economic and social challenges so they can start solving tomorrowβs problems today.βοΈ
Thank you to the amazing #WhiteLightEducationpeeps and our awesome industry #DesignThinkingchallenge partners @microsoftau @virginaustralia and #WomenForElectionAustralia who join us @sydney_uni next Friday February 15 for the #girledworld #WorldOfWork Summit NSW.
We have an all-day, hands-on ππ½ head-onπ‘#designthinking intensive workshop planned, which will give 100βs of NSW high school and tertiary students real-world innovation tools in real-world problem-solving (plus they earn a micro-credential for their resumes!)
#DesignThinking is a process for creative problem-solving - an innovation methodology extremely useful for tackling complex problems that are ill-defined or unknown. The process involves deeply understanding the context and human needs involved, reframing the real problem in human-centric ways, and then coming up with lots of ideas in group brainstorming sessions which are rapidly worked up into testable prototypes.
We canβt wait to see the solutions they come up with by the end of the day!
