A Day of Design Thinking, Entrepreneurship and Real World Problem Solving.
girledworld invites future female change makers (currently in Year 9 to Year 12 Australian Secondary Schools) who want to gain skills in entrepreneurship, Design Thinking and real-world problem solving to join us for a hands-on day of business building!
Led by a dynamic, hand-picked squad of industry specialists, innovation coaches, entrepreneurs and RMIT University experts, our young female change-makers will work together across a day of Design Thinking modules to unpack complex problems and work up startup solutions to three real-world challenges.

The STEMDER Gap : Where are all the women?
Challenge 2: ZOOS VICTORIA + 1 MILLION WOMEN
Climate Change: SavE the world for future generations
Challenge 3: EDUCATION CHANGEMAKERS, MAYK + WHITE LIGHT EDUCATION
Rethinking Education: The New School Rules
At the conclusion of the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to present their challenge solution ideas and business models to a panel of incredible judges, and work with entrepreneurs and public speaking coaches to refine their pitches.
This is a day of hands-on, intensive, real-world learning not to be missed!

All attendees for the Sunday program (Day 2) will receive a Micro-Credential in Design Thinking to add to their resume, and access to the WOW Careers Platform.
GOOD CAREERS GUIDE PARTNERSHIP
Good Education Group will be donating copies of their renowned career planning publication, The Good Careers Guide, to students attending the Summit's Design Thinking interactive workshops.
Lucky #girledworld Sunday Summit attendees will each receive a copy of the Good Careers Guide to start their own journeys toward the future of work.

Summit attendees will also explore exponential technologies, automation, digital disruption and the erosion of traditional ‘safe’ jobs, and speakers will deliver interactive workshops on augmented reality, virtual reality, UX, cyberbreach, agile, coding, drone tech and data science.
The GirledWorld #WorldOfWork Summit is aligned to the Australian Curriculum General Capabilities, Design and Digital Technologies learning areas.

Please note attending students do not need to be accompanied by teachers/adults. This event is fully supervised, and staffed by girledworld team and volunteers from girledworld, RMIT and our partner organisations.
