KEY EVENT THEMES

WORLD SHAPING, FUTURE FACING, WORK READY

The EXPO will see 100's of high school and undergraduate tertiary students exposed to a powerful network of inspiring industry leaders, STEM and innovation champions, esports superstars and career role models across a highly interactive day of career education keynotes, 21st Century skill-building and STEM activation zone explorations during the breaks!

Speakers will unpack STEM careers and workplace opportunities, and the enterprise skills they use every day so students can start to understand foundational future of work STEM toolkits and think about their future course selections, tertiary pathways, internship opportunities and career employability.

Through our work across innovation ecosystems, universities, best practice education research and ongoing engagement with 1000's of high school students across Australia, at girledworld know that career decision making and school subject choices can be highly confusing in the senior years of high school. See our Future of Work 2019 series for more on this work.

As such, the girledworld WOW STEM EXPO program has been curated and designed specifically for Australian high school and early tertiary, tafe and higher education students to equip, inform and empower them to make informed decisions about their individual career pathways with STEM and the #futureofwork front of mind.

This is a great way for young people to meet and learn from inspiring career role models who “tell it like it is”, open the door to emerging STEM industries, uncover the job opportunities of tomorrow, and help students start planning for their future career pathways now.
